# DO NOT DELETE: standing comparison meteorology (2026-07-13)

`hysplit.t12z.gfs0p25f000` in this directory is the **standing settings-comparison
cycle** for the CT forecast pipeline: every tileset in the 20260713T12Z settings
grid (gamma sweep, gamma-pivot sweep, period variants — see the Notion page
"CT tile settings experimentation" and hydash's Development section) was modeled
from this file, and future settings experiments re-model from it so results stay
comparable.

**It no longer exists online** — NOMADS only retains ~2 days — so deleting it
here would permanently end the ability to run new comparisons against this
weather. Any cleanup/retention job sweeping `hysplit-gfs/` must skip this
directory (or at minimum the t12z f000 file).
